Short bio
I worked as sysadmin/systems engineer for about ten years in a highly heterogeneous environment with GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, FreeBSD and Windows clients and servers. What a mess! A few years ago I became interested in new project management methods for software development (Agile, XP, SCRUM and all that) and gradually shifted into a project manager/developer position. Today I’m head of the development team for a small group of developers.
I hold a degree of Master of Science in Information Technology (with Distinction) from the University of Liverpool.
When I’m running a fever or drink too much, I write my own code, much to the dissatisfaction of our real developers. I like Ruby, Python, PHP, Bash and Perl.
Also, I’m a (natural) language freak and sometimes torture an electric guitar.
